Topsil Global, within its possibilities, is trying to help those in need. “Zone for Children”, realized by the Special Economic Zone of Lodz is one of the biggest charity actions for children in Christmas time in Lodz. For the 15th time, in 2014 the event was financed by more than 50 companies that conduct their activities in the Special Economic Zone of Lodz or cooperate with it, including Topsil Global. Thanks to the sponsors, the children from poor families could obtain Christmas packages and see the play Zorro.

Making the little ones happy brings a lot of satisfaction and shows that in spite of growing social indifference, there is always some helping hand around.

Between 24th and 26th of September Topsil Global presented its offer at the Alihankinta tradeshow in Tampere in Finland. Alihankinta is the largest subcontracting exhibition in Scandinavia. Topsil’s optical silicone parts were those that sparked the biggest interest among visitors. Optical silicone is a novelty on the market and it finds more and more applications in LED lighting. It performs very well in demanding conditions, in low and high temperatures, it is resistant to UV aging and its light transmission is better than in the case of glass (even up to 98%). That is why optical silicone proves to be a superior material when compared to the traditional, rigid transparent plastics like PC and PMMA.

In May 2014 TOPSIL GLOBAL has launched a new production plant in Shanghai. It is located in a southern district of Fengxian, about 30 km from the city center and it is very well connected by road, air or rail with other regions of China and Asia. It manufactures injected liquid silicone parts exclusively. The TOPSIL GLOBAL Chinese branch has a status of wholly foreign owned enterprise (WFOE).

We make sure that the products we manufacture in China comply to the same high quality standards, as in our main plant in Poland. The plant is equipped with brand new ARBURG injection units and 2KM dosing system for LSR injection.

The first products made by Topsil Shanghai (or Ding Gui, in Mandarin) are destined for home appliances and for lighting devices. Together with our Chinese and international partners and as the first company in China, we are introducing the new solutions for LED lamps, using lenses made of optical silicone.

Silicone products feature very high growth rate on the Chinese market, while the quality awareness is being built among Chinese consumers. Nevertheless, there are few good quality manufacturers in place and most of production is still based on an outdated and inefficient technology of compression moulding, with a lot of manual work involved.

Starting from 2015 we will substantially expand our production capacities with the new investment in the Special Economic Zone of Lodz in Skierniewice. The new 5,000 sq. m plant will be equipped with a clean room ISO class 7 area, designed for products destined to special applications in medicine and electronics.

The site of the new production plant is located in the direct neighbourhood of Bolimowski Landscape Park. The Bolimowski Forest is one of the few remaining parts of historical forests of Central Europe. Locating the new Topsil Global’s production plant in this particular place – and obtaining all required environmental permits for the investment – is a proof of the ecological, environmentally friendly character of the production processes in TOPSIL GLOBAL.
